2DE’s Completed Capital Projects

Exclusion Fencing at Yambutta (Quilpie/Eromanga)

Approximately 56 kilometres of external and internal exclusion fence was completed to mitigate pests, predominately kangaroos and emus.

Yard Building (Corowa Downs)

A brand new set of steel cattle yards featuring a longer, curved race to promote stress free cattle handling while increasing productivity as the cattle flow freely due to the curved nature of the race as opposed to a straight design. Hosting facilities to preg-test 200+ head of cows safely and effectively. Easily our best yards to work in, for the cattle and the ringers.

Pasture Improvement at Beilberanga (Condamine)

Buffel, desmanthis progardis, bambatsi and a four species winter medic mix was planted via a spinning seeder box on the back of a D9 dozer with a blade plough attachment.

Land Levelling design and works at Callirtris (Condamine)

We’ve recently levelled approximately 170 hectares of melon hole country, which in previous years after heavy rainfall, has been limiting to be able to get on the ground. Two D9Rs were used for moving the bulk of the dirt followed by a k Tek bucket to get the final trim/finish. Manure was spread over the top and trash worked in to break the big clumps in the soil and incorporate the manure, leaving it ready to plant

Soil Improvement / manure spreading at Bellevue (Roma)

We transported manure from the Bellevue feedlot, into the paddocks to spread over the fallow cropping country to improve the fertility and condition of the soil.

Vegetation Control & Regeneration at Beilberanga (Condamine)

Land has been cleared with a D6 dozer and stick rake attachment to reduce sucker vegetation, improve ground cover of natural and improved grasses and support an even percentage of paddock grazing patterns and manure distribution from cattle.
