A Partnership For Growth
2DE is a Dearden-Durack enterprise that was established in 2020 by Peter Dearden and his brother in-law Matthew Durack.
The purpose of the venture was to enable the next generation to be apart of a progressive agricultural management business that benefits the land, livestock and people involved.
2DE leases and manages 8 properties altogether which are situated in Condamine, Roma and Quilpie. Each property consists of either cattle beef production, broad-acre cropping or a mixture of both.
The two blocks between Quilpie and Eromanga (Yambutta and Corowa) are dedicated to breeding angus, charolais, drought master and hereford calves that once weaned, are brought back to the properties around Roma (Beverley and Olivia) and Condamine (Beilberanga and Callitris) to be backgrounded. Once the weaners have reached the desired weight range, they are moved to the feedlot near Roma (Bellevue), where they will be finished and sent on to meat processors.
Two of the blocks at Condamine (Callitris and Boralley) and Roma (Beverley and Olivia) have been established for broad-acre cropping rotations that consist of cereal, legume and forage crops.
Callitris is also the base for 2DE’s contract farming plant which consists of in-crop spraying, planting and soil management practices.
The 2DE office is located in Shop 4/124 McDowall Street - Roma, QLD.
